Description: 
CNC Machinist Mills and Lathes. This is a permanent, full time position reporting to the CNC Cell Leader. Overtime and shift work is applicable in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Machine Control which includes pull and send programs; tool change; trouble shooting; entering tool and D-Comp offsets;
M.D.I.
- Understanding setup sheets, tool lists and Operational Detail Sheets
- Calculating Work Offsets (all axes)
- Indicating and Edge Finding
- Understanding program/D-Comps, part edge and center path programming
- Tightening and clamping pressures (i.e. 'Free State' condition and part clamped maintaining free state)
- Cutting pressures/Boring bar adjustments (ie. Micro-head); spring pass; test cut bore; graduations on boring bar
- Tape proving new and modified programs, anticipating what the machine will do before it cuts
- Preventive maintenance
- 5-S Activities
- Pre-start up inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness
- Running a combined number of machines simultaneously in a safe and effective manner. (Combo)
- Other duties as assigned
- Adhering at all times to company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Ability to produce a high quality part in a safe, productive and efficient manner
- Experience in full set up of job and minor programming edits
- The ability to wear the required PPE.
- Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGRP directives.
