Village on Irvine
Introducing a Healing Village: Village on Irvine
For people trapped in the cycle of unstable housing and substance use, there are very few pathways back to employment, housing, and stability. Those with pets are especially left behind as they are forced to leave their pets behind to access support.
Too often, people complete treatment with every intention of rebuilding their lives, only to find there is nowhere for them to go next. This is a critical gap in recovery that we are wishing to fill through Village on Irvine.
Village on Irvine is a 2-year recovery program for adults who have successfully completed addictions treatment and are ready to build the next chapter of their lives.
Village on Irvine will build pathways through:
- Land: giving participants room to breathe, far from the drug culture. Village on Irvine includes 54 acres of farm and forest to do just that.
- Wellness: providing a pet-friendly community to stay healthy and whole, with 24/7 support onsite.
- Training: offering opportunities to learn agriculture, trades, and social enterprise. A carpentry and woodworking shop and garage are already part of the property.
- Home: inviting participants to rebuild a stable foundation from which to grow, with 30+ beds and beautiful buildings to build community.

By helping people forge a life beyond addiction, Village on Irvine will become a living example of hope.
Village on Irvine will be a place where someone can move from simply surviving to building a future – with community, meaningful work, and supportive recovery.
This project offers a new pathway for addictions treatment in Ontario.
