- Forging cutting dies and trimming blades.
- Use of stretching and bending machines.
- Use of cutting equipment for forging (band saw, shear, horizontal cut-off saw).
- Use of grinding equipment (cut-off wheel, belt sander, face-off wheel, grinding wheel).
- Use of measuring equipment (ruler, vernier, tape measures).
- Effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ensure that work area including machinery is clean and safe at all times.
- Deal with changing priorities in a quick and efficient manner.
- Work safely while maintaining productivity and ODC quality standards.

- Prior experience as an Industrial Blacksmith is an asset.
- Working knowledge of an oxygen Acetylene torch.
- Working knowledge of various heavy weight dies (plastic dies, machined scallop placement dies, contoured plywood dies, compound contoured dies, blades for contour regular heavy weight dies, envelope dies).
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and set priorities.
