QSC Celebrates 20 Years
Queen St. Commons Celebrates its 20th Anniversary on June 12
Last month marked Queen Street Commons’ 20-year anniversary, and it wouldn’t be a Working Centre celebration without a community gathering!
Please join us June 12 from 4-7pm to gather together, enjoy live music by the New Vibes Jazz, and some delicious refreshments. The QSC doors will be open 4-7pm – no tickets needed, just drop-in when you can!
Queen Street Commons has a long history of being an affordable and inclusive meeting place, where people from all walks-of-life gather in common to share good food, conversation, and community. More than a café, it is a space where we come to know one another and where belonging and respect grow through simple acts of being together in our downtown.
This community space has welcomed many different groups in its 20 years, from informal gatherings of friends, English conversation circles, movie nights, housing support persons meeting with residents, knitting and writing groups, musical performances, election panels, community group meetings, student study groups, outreach workers offering connection and support, and so much more!
Over 350 people regularly walked through the doors of Queen Street Commons, and we are looking forward to inviting you back now that our newly renovated space has opened once more.
We hope to see you June 12 and in the future!
