Cabins on Ardelt was previously known as A Better Tent City, a community-led tiny home village designed to provide safe, dignified shelter and crucial social resources. When ABTC Waterloo Region was scheduled to dissolve as a corporation, The Working Centre was invited by the Region of Waterloo to maintain this community as a shelter within the Region’s wider shelter system.
Cabins on Ardelt joins The Working Centre’s housing and shelter network, where we support people to live well each day, to find possible housing opportunities, and to live as community together
