Intermediate ASP.net Developer

The Opportunity

Sigma Corporation is seeking senior ASP.net developer with SQL programming experience to join our development team in a full time capacity. The successful candidate will be part of a small development team to continue automating processes, enabling better quality control and provide better visibility to the company's day to day performance. The candidate will also possess troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve problems. Most importantly the candidate must be flexible and willing to learn and adapt to change.

Sigma Corporation is a manufacturer of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including Wallfin, Convectors, Force Flows, Cabinet Unit Heaters, Valance as well as Radiant Ceiling Heating and Cooling Products. In addition to industry-standard products offering, our 80,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario is optimized for quality flexible manufacturing to meet nearly any specification.


The selected candidate will be responsible for the following
- Maintain existing software mostly written in C# in the form of ASP.net and WinForms
- Write software to satisfy new business requirements
- Support users on software issues and train when required
- Document source code and create design documents
- Manage code changes via source control (Team Foundation)


Required Skills
- A College or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of development in ASP.net using C#
- Experience developing WinForms based applications
- Knowledge of structures and modular designs
- Microsoft Reporting (RDLC)
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Must be familiar with general database theory
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with HTML, Javascript (this experience goes hand in hand with ASP.net)
- Android front end and backend using Visual Studio is a plus
