The idea of making local, sustainable produce more accessible by using bike couriers was something that occurred to Armin Eichhorn after he purchased a community supported agriculture share, or garden box, for himself.
Eichhorn works as a bike courier for Eco Courier K-W and brought the idea to them. Now, the Working Centre’s Hacienda Sarria Market Garden have partnered up with Eco Courier to offer a low-emission alternative for getting fresh food.
“Within 10 days, we went from having the idea to doing our first delivery,” said Eichhorn.
