Sign up now for a weekly pickup of microgreens fresh from The Working Centre’s Grow Greenhouse! The greens will be harvested on a weekly basis and delivered to the Queen Street Commons Café for Community-Supported-Agriculture (CSA) members to bring home.
Pickups are every Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm, running from January 3 to March 28.
What’s in a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share?
Members can choose
- a variety of microgreens, from pea shoots to broccoli to red clover from Grow Greenhouse
- baked goods and vegetarian meals made at Maurita’s Kitchen
- fresh in-house roasted coffee from the Queen St Commons Café
Each of these delicious items is an expression of The Working Centre’s commitment to community enterprise and creativity in work.
Delicious, Nutritious, and Local Microgreens
Microgreens can provide an important source of nutrients for those who wish to eat locally, even after vegetable beds have gone to rest for the winter. Microgreens are simply just-sprouted baby vegetables with high concentrations of nutrients.
Grow Greenhouse hosts gardeners who volunteer their time and energy toward growing microgreens for this Community Supported Agriculture project.
