The Queen Street Commons Café is the kind of gathering place that is central to community vitality. It is a place that provides opportunities for music, gathering, movies and conversation. We invite people to enjoy our affordable, vegetarian home-style meals, snacks and desserts along with our fair-trade organic coffee and other tasty drinks. We welcome community events and volunteers to help us make the place come to life. The Queen Street Commons Café is a place where all are welcome.
The café, located at 43 Queen St. South, is strongly supported by volunteers and offers a vegetarian menu, community meeting space, music nights, and a unique gift shop. Food for the café is prepared at Maurita's Kitchen at 66 Queen Street South.
The café & kitchen are Urban Agriculture projects which aim to reconnect city folks with the local food system. If you wish to volunteer at the café, please call 519-743-1151 ext. 244.

The café offers vegetarian fare, including dips, pizzas, soups, salads, and daily lunch specials. The wide assortment of freshly baked cookies, muffins, squares & cakes includes dairy, wheat & sugar-free options, as well as more decadent choices. Fair trade coffees and organic herbal teas served. It is our hope that whole foods produced locally can be accessible and affordable to those with limited income.
