Fifteen hours/week minimum, Tuesday & Thursday.  
Reporting to the Manager of Finance / Administration, the incumbent will provide support for the accounting function. Experience with Business Vision accounting software is a preferred qualification for this position. Applicants must be fully conversant with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Post-secondary school education in accounting is preferred.  
 
Duties include:  
# accounts payable data entry and cheque preparation  
# job costing data entry  
# maintaining neat and orderly accounts payable files  
# preparing bank deposits  
# assisting with donation database data entry  
# assisting with account reconciliations  
# preparing government reports for PST/GST/WSIB  
# gathering income and insurance information from Habitat partner families  
# posting journal entries to the General Ledger  
# working with auditors on accounts payable matters at fiscal year-end  
# other duties as assigned from time to time
