The café, located at 43 Queen St. South, is strongly supported by volunteers and offers a vegetarian menu, community meeting space, music nights, and a unique gift shop. Food for the café is prepared at Maurita's Kitchen at 66 Queen. The café & kitchen are Urban Agriculture projects which aim to reconnect city folks with the local food system. The café offers vegetarian fare, including dips, pizzas, soups, salads, and daily
lunch specials. The wide assortment of freshly baked cookies, muffins, squares & cakes
includes dairy, wheat & sugar-free options, as well as more decadent choices. Fair trade
coffees and organic herbal teas served. It is our hope that whole foods produced locally can be
accessible and affordable to those with limited income.

Queen Street Commons provides community groups with free meeting space. We are planning a variety of community
workshops and lectures. Regular activities include:
