Introduction to Computers

The Introduction to Computers course is designed to provide the fundamental knowledge of computers to students who have had little or no computer experience. The course also provides students with some computer knowledge, the opportunity to understand the terminology and gain the confidence needed for future courses. This is a 4-week, in depth course that teaches common hardware used with a PC, basic Windows skills, such as working with the desktop and windows, creating and managing documents, file and folder navigation and management, and how to obtain help when needed.

        Navigating with Windows, the desktop, and applications
  • Creating a Document
        Creating, opening, saving, simple word processing documents
  • Working With Files
        Navigating and managing files and folders

        How to use an application's help system

Where We Are

Our main computer lab is located at 58 Queen Street South on the upper level in the Wright Room.
